Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to submit MDAC online registration:

1. Visit the MDAC Website

Firstly, visit the Malaysian Immigration Department’s website: https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main 

2. Fill in the Required Information

Locate the MDAC form on the website and fill in the required information. You will need to provide personal details accurately such as your personal information, travel itinerary, and passport details. Before submitting the form, double-check all the information.

3. Submit the Application Form 

Once you have completed the form, submit it through the official website. 

4. Keep a Record

It’s strongly advised to keep a record of your MDAC submission, either by taking a screenshot of the confirmation page or saving the confirmation email if provided.

5. Note the MDAC Submission Deadline

Starting from 1st January 2024, international travelers who are not exempt must complete the MDAC upon arrival in Malaysia. The grace period allowing submission upon arrival will no longer be available after this date. Ensure you submit the form in advance to avoid any complications.

How to Use MDAC Upon Arrival in Malaysia?

Here are some steps to follow on how to apply for Malaysia Digital Arrival Card upon arrival in Malaysia:

1. Present your Valid Passport

Upon arrival in Malaysia, ensure you have your valid passport ready. Your passport should be valid for at least six months for those arriving at Malaysian airports, while those entering through land checkpoints should have a passport valid for at least three months.

To be eligible for the autogate system, you will need to be a visitor whether for foreign business or social traveler from 10 countries (Australia, Brunei, Germany, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United States and United Kingdom). You will also need to have:

  • Submitted Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) 3 days before arrival
  • Enrolled a biometric (fingerprint) at the counter
  • e-Passport

For first time autogate users, it’s important to verify your passport at a manual immigration counter upon arrival. This step is mandatory before using the autogate during your departure. 

For subsequent entry to Malaysia, you can immediately use the autogate system to enter and exit the country.
